the minneapolis hoagie walleye

ingredients

  • Dietz & Watson Pancetta
  • Dietz & Watson Hoagie Dressing
  • Dietz & Watson Hoagie Red Pepper Mayo
  • Hoagie roll
  • Walleye
  • 2 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ tsp Onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¾ cup Flour
  • 4 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1 sliced Red onion

directions

  1. Lightly beat 2 eggs in a bowl
  2. In another dish combine flour, bread crumbs, onion powder, and paprika
  3. Dip fish in egg and then in flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.
  4. Add oil to a pan and heat pan over medium heat.
  5. When pan is hot, add fillets to pan. Cook 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove fish from pan and place on plate with paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Toast hoagie roll.
  8. Spread Dietz and Watson Sweet pepper relish on hoagie roll. Add 4-6 slices of pancetta, then place fried fish on top.
  9. Finish off by adding shredded lettuce, shaved onions, and a drizzle of hoagie dressing
