What's Franksgiving, you ask? It's like Thanksgiving, but everything is hot dogs and sausages. Celebrate with friends. Celebrate with family. Our first Franksgiving recipe puts a creative twist on Thanksgiving recipes. Simply grill up a Dietz & Watson Deli Frank and put it on a bun, then top with cranberry sauce, stuffing, and crispy onions. Now, that’s a frank to give thanks for!
If you’ve ever wanted an excuse to create a charcuterie centerpiece that looks like a turkey and is made out of franks, today is your day. Slice up cooked sausages into medallions and layer them with sliced vegetables, bite-sized snacks, and assorted cheeses to resemble that most majestic of birds.
This Franksgiving appetizer is also a lovely centerpiece for your celebration. Behold the Franksgiving Cornucopia! Simply cut our Blends Spicy Cheddar Sausage, Tomato and Basil Blends, and Blends Italian Style Sausage into coin shapes. Cook with sweet potato, peppers, onions, and herbs. Then, arrange so that they’re overflowing from a pastry cornucopia to accomplish that “bountiful franks” look.
Ok, Franksgiving-observing friends. THIS is the side dish to end all side dishes. Slice those frankfurters into coins and fry them up until they're golden brown with seasonal veggies like sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, onions, and herbs. Make extra because everyone will be having seconds.
You didn’t think we’d skip dessert, did ya? These Candied Franks may get the side-eye from unknowing guests, but don’t knock ‘em till you try ‘em because they’re delicious. Slice our Smoked Mild Sausage into long strips and glaze with maple syrup. Serve with a side of apple butter for dipping and enjoy!
