grilled meat salad

ingredients

  1. Salad:
  2. 6 Dietz & Watson Pepper & Onion Italian Sausage
  3. 2 large sweet potatoes
  4. 2 large red bell peppers
  5. 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  6. 3 cups mixed greens
  7. 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  8. 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  9. Dressing:
  10. 1/4 cup pilsner beer* optional
  11. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  12. 1 clove garlic minced
  13. 2 tbsp honey
  14. 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  15. 1/2 cup olive oil or avocado oil

directions

  1. Heat grill to medium/high heat.
  2. Peel both sweet potatoes and cut into 1/2 inch thick slices. Slice your bell pepper in half vertically, then once more so that you have 4 long pieces. Brush the vegetables with olive oil.
  3. Cook your Dietz & Watson Italian Sausages and vegetables on the grill, turning about every five minutes. Until vegetables are charred and sausage is heated through.
  4. Chop up your veggies and Dietz & Watson Italian Sausages into bite size pieces, place the salad ingredients with mixed greens into a large bowl, and add fresh cilantro and green onion.
  5. Whisk together the dressing ingredients into a small bowl: beer (if using), apple cider vinegar, garlic, honey, mustard, and oil. Pour over top the veggies and Dietz & Watson Italian Sausage.
  6. Serve!
