dark chocolate & salted caramel brownies with candied bacon crumble

ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines brownie mix, dark chocolate
  • 8 oz. salted caramel chips Ghirardelli
  • 10 slices D&W Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • 3oz. maple syrup

directions

  2. Bake in 300*F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until baked crispy. This is a slow process to ensure you do not burn bacon. Once crispy, drain on paper towels, set aside.

  4. Place remaining chips in a microwave safe bowl and melt. Do this in 10 second intervals and stir in between to ensure smooth caramel sauce.
  5. Drizzle caramel over the top of the brownies using a fork and sprinkle crumbed bacon over the caramel.
  6. Enjoy! Disclaimer: this is a very rich & delicious brownie! Serve with vanilla ice cream and watch the crowd roar with joy!
