frankenstein Dietz Dogs

frankenstein Dietz Dogs

ingredients

  1. 1 pack Dietz & Watson Jumbo Beef Dietz Dogs
  2. Dietz & Watson Sweet Red Pepper Mayonnaise
  3. green food coloring
  4. 6 Pretzel sticks
  5. 12 candy eyes
  6. 1 egg
  7. 2 tbsp water
  8. 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  9. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  10. ¼ cup granulated sugar
  11. 4 tsp baking powder
  12. ¼ tsp salt
  13. 1 cup milk

directions

  1. Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Mix in eggs, milk, and green food dye until mixture is desired color. Once combined, pour the mixture into a tall glass to dip the Dietz Dogs.
  3. Preheat oil in a fryer or deep saucepan until it reaches 375 F.
  4. Insert a wooden skewer into each of the Dietz Dogs, be sure to leave enough of the skewer out to hold and not to poke the skewer through the top.
  5. Pour some flour on a plate and roll each Dietz Dog in the flour. Shake off any excess.
  6. Dip each of the Dietz Dogs into the batter and coat well.
  7. Fry for until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
  8. Mix black food coloring into Dietz & Watson Sweet Red Pepper Mayonnaise until desired color. Once the corn dogs have cooled slightly, use a piping bag to draw "hair" and "mouth" on corn dogs and add two candy eyes to each.
  9. Insert a half a pretzel stick into each side of Frankensteins head.
  10. Serve & Enjoy!
