spicy chorizo dip

ingredients

  • 6 oz Dietz & Watson originals Chorizo Chub
  • Vegetable oil for coating the dish
  • ¼ chopped onion
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup grated Dietz & Watson Originals Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup grated Dietz & Watson Habanero & Jalapeño Cheddar Cheese Wedge
  • 6 flour tortillas, warmed

directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Oil a 3 or 4 cup ovenproof baking dish.
  3. In a dry medium skillet, saute the chorizo over medium-high heat until almost crisp.Remove the chorizo to a plate.
  4. Add the onion and garlic to the pan juices and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  5. Return the chorizo to the skillet with the onions and garlic and stir to combine.
  6. Put 1/2 of the cheese in the baking dish and sprinkle with 1/2 of the chorizo mixture.
  7. Repeat with the remaining cheese and chorizo mixture.
  8. Bake until the cheese is bubbling, about 20 minutes.
  9. Serve with flour tortillas for soft tacos.
