bunny toasts

ingredients

  1. Dietz & Watson Cheddar slices
  2. 2 TBSP Dietz & Watson Red Pepper Hummus
  3. Dietz & Watson Mozzarella
  4. Baguette, cut into slices
  5. 2 TBSP of butter
  6. 7 sprigs of fresh dill
  7. Sea salt
  8. Black sesame seeds
  9. Medium, round cookie cutters
  10. Carrot cookie cutters
  11. Large, round cookie cutters
  12. Small petal-shaped cookie cutters

directions

  1. Heat a skillet on medium-high heat. Slice your baguette into 7 even pieces.
  2. Place the butter in the pan and once it begins to bubble, add the baguette slices.
  3. Once the slices are browned on one side (about 2-3 minutes), flip and repeat on the other side.
  4. Remove from the pan and allow your baguette slices to cool.
  5. Slice the mozzarella into pieces that fit on top of your baguette slices.
  6. Shape the bunny bodies using the large round cutters and the face with a medium-sized round cutter.
  7. Cut out the bunny ears with a small petal-shaped cutter. Halve the petal shape to make two ears.
  8. Spread Dietz & Watson Red Pepper Hummus on top of the crostini.
  9. Arrange the cheese bunnies on the crostini.
  10. Use sesame seeds for the eyes and nose.
  11. Grab your Dietz & Watson Cheddar slices and use the carrot cutter to make the bunny's carrot.
  12. Add a small sprig of dill for the carrot top, and place the cheese carrot on top of the bunny.
  13. Sprinkle with sea salt and enjoy!
