Hold on to your lederhosen, Oktoberfest is here! And at Dietz & Watson, we make our sausages and brats the old-fashioned way: hand-spiced, with natural casings, and using traditional German recipes.
We’ve also partnered with Urban Village Brewing Company to create recipes that complement the sweet and hoppy flavors of their Oktoberfest Lager. And what you don’t use for cooking, you can use to fill your favorite stein!
cheddarwurst--mac & cheese
It’s mac & cheese, the Oktoberfest way! Start by making your favorite mac & cheese recipe (box is fine!) Now, heat up some of our Cheddarwurst Sausage, slice, and place on top of the mac & cheese. Garnish with sauerkraut and pretzel crumbles, then pour a frothy mug of Urban Village Oktoberfest Lager and you’ve got yourself quite a nice little mahlzeit.

blackforest--bratwurst sandwich
We’re not sure what happens in the Black Forest, but it must be delicious! To make this sandwich, start by placing our Black Forest Bratwurst in a sauce pot with Urban Village Brewing Oktoberfest and simmer until the sausage is cooked through. Then, place our sliced Smoked Gouda on the bottom of a sliced pretzel bun and top with the sliced Brat and garnish with our Grain Mustard and some pickled beet relish. Wunderbar!

kielbasa pizza
Mamma mia, Oktoberfest is going Italian! Sprinkle a little bit of our shredded Mozzarella on pizza dough and drizzle with ¼ c of heavy cream. Then, top with slices of our Kielbasa and cook until the cheese has melted and the bottom of the crust is hard. Once the pizza is out of the oven, garnish with dollops of our Grain Mustard, cabbage, and sauerkraut. Now, fill your stein with Urban Brewing Oktoberfest and enjoy!

seared knockwurst--on toast
Raise an Oktoberfest toast with a bite of Seared Knockwurst on, well, toast! Slice and sear our Natural Casing German Knockwurst in a pan and place on top of a toasted pretzel roll and top with plum mostarda, beer mustard, pickled cabbage, and sauerkraut. Prost!
