ingredients

  1. Dietz & Watson Pepperoni
  2. Dietz & Watson Mozzarella Cheese
  3. Pizza Dough
  4. Pizza Sauce
  5. Oil
  6. Basil Leaves for garnish

directions

  1. Preheat oven according to your pizza dough directions and oil your baking sheet.
  2. Roll out your pizza dough into a rectangular shape.
  3. Cut pizza dough into 2" strips and flatten slightly so they're about 3" wide and 10" long.
  4. Spoon pizza sauce on the top half of the rectangular strip, lengthwise.
  5. Shred Dietz & Watson Mozzarella Cheese and sprinkle on top of the pizza sauce.
  6. Add overlapping slices of Dietz & Watson Pepperoni over the cheese. Pepperoni slices should hang over the top of the dough strip.
  7. Fold the un-sauced side of the pizza dough strip over, covering half of the pepperoni slices.
  8. Roll the strip lengthwise, to make a pizza rose.
  9. Place pizza roses on your prepared baking sheet and brush the dough with oil.
  10. Bake on the bottom rack of your oven for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown.
  11. If pepperoni begins to overcook before the dough is finished, cover roses gently with a sheet of tinfoil to prevent burning.
  12. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  13. Garnish with basil leaves if desired.
  14. Serve warm.
