Grill the beef frank.
Slice the torpedo roll lengthwise, then remove some of the inner bread to make space for toppings.
Spread the bottom half of the roll with Dietz & Watson® Chipotle Mayonnaise. Add Dietz & Watson® New York State Cheddar with Cayenne then add the chili.
Add Dietz & Watson® Angus beef frank. Top with lettuce & sautéed onions.
Chili (please note, for this recipe we recommend using a store bought chili to save time)
In a large skillet heat the oil over medium high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Continue to cook until meat is browned.
Drain grease & reserve the meat.
Add onions, peppers & garlic to the pan. Cook until the onions become translucent, about 2 minutes.
Return the beef to the pan. Add chili powder, red pepper flakes & tomato sauce.
Continue to cook, stirring occasionally until all of the flavors have combined, about 20 minutes.
